Wave 3: Up-cycled Ship
Your challenge is to create a up-cycled ship. The two goals are to:
1. create a boat that will be able to float in a container of water for set amount of time
2. be sturdy enough to hold the highest amount pennies without sinking for a set amount of time
3. build your boat out materials that would have otherwise been recycled or thrown away (with the addition of a few additional approved items)
You will be able to use the following materials:
-any items that would have been recycled or thrown away (all items must be approved by Amy or Amanda)
Examples: plastic water bottles, plastic silverware, food containers or packaging, etc.
-hot glue
-string/twine
Note:
-If your group using more then the allotted amount of string or hot glue, there is a penalty during the competition (subtract two pennies from the total weight at the end)
